Seasons...

Pumpkins.
Caramel & Cinnamon Spice Candles.
It is the beginning of Fall 2010.
I see Fall differently now that I'm a Wife and Mama. I relate Fall to the cozy memories of my childhood. Fall Festivals with Pilgrims and Indians...Carmel Apples, (well, apples in general.. Homemade Applesauce)  A new long sleeve shirt from Mom, that she probably found a great deal on. :) Thanks Mom.. not just for the shirt, but all of the above. I wouldn't have this motherly instinct to nurture and provide lasting memories if it weren't for your example.

It's Tuesday, September 14th.. I'm sitting here at my parents house..my mom is making Applesauce..again. But funny thing is, she hasn't made it in years. But it feels like yesterday, a very familiar feeling. Comforting even.
This isn't the announcement I thought I'd be making, and I wasn't sure if I'd even announce it. But I thought my blog would be a special place to do it. I can look back and hopefully this will be comforting.
Yesterday, September 13th I would have been 11 weeks and 1 day pregnant..
We found out via ultra-sound that our sweet baby passed at 9 weeks. :(
Through great big, hot tears... Mommy & Daddy saw you.
We saw your sweet little head and body.
Daddy and Mommy and Big Sis were so very excited to meet you! We always will love you and we can't wait to meet you one day.
We are so thankful you're with Jesus.. That's Mommy's greatest source of comfort through this hard time, because she misses you.
Tears.

Blogging: Take 2!

We are full swing into the sweltering heat of August! Apparently, today was a record high on the humidity scale. (I, however, was only outside long enough to take a few pictures of Sophia) ...In which she wasn't into, so back inside we came.

Let's see.. Joe has recently gotten into biking. He has a snazzy new bike and is putting it to good use in a few weeks! He's preparing for a 2 day ride for MS! (Go Babe!) ...He needs to raise $250 more dollars and he needs to get a few more miles under his belt for practice. (winks!) 75 miles both days! . . He'll be just fine! haha.

Soph, Squirt-Pants, Soapie, Princess.. basically where most of our attention ends up!! We find her to be THEE cutest thing and are so proud of her every move {it feels like!} Despite the fact that she likes to bite me\us. . she has 4 super cute teeth!

Okay. I have done too much talk & planning and not enough doing! I have TOO many projects in my head that need to become actual projects so I can be a legit "creative" person!
Let's see,

  • Jewelry Display (I bought a rustic (old) screen window months ago for 50 cents...chop, chop, me!)
  • Paint "Sophie\a (I haven't decided which one yet) Name blocks for her room
  • Make skirts for Soph, maybe one's that match for us if it turns out decent enough :)
  • Sew curtains for, kitchen, bathroom, my bedroom.....and our church's nursery! (Oi!)
I know I'm always going to have projects and that's what helps keep life new and exciting for me! But, I need to actually finish these "great ideas". . So, like I said...I can be "legit" :):)

Other things on my mind, well, I need a new Bible. I need a good study Bible that I can develop a daily routine with. "Let not myself be intimidated -Hope" . . The priorities need to be in the right spot. It's very important to me. And I know it will positively spill onto my little family!

Speaking of things being in the right spot, you know Kate Gosslin?? Jon...er, Kate Plus 8! (So sad for them!) Anyways... Besides the obvious family troubles. Joe and I were (I just Typed "Joe and I was"...was I born in TN not MI?? ANYWAYS!) Joe and I WERE watching her new show Kate Plus 8 the other night, and even though she and I would do A LOT of things different, I admire her drive!! She was a bit inspirational when it came to keeping things clean, organized & functioning like a well oiled machine. All of this to say. .

I'm working on changing some of my laid-back-ways to a more driven, get what I want done-done. attitude. It hasn't been too bad so far. Let's hope it continues, to let's say maybe -- my projects! :)

I think we are updated enough for now -- I plan on doing better so it won't be another 6 months, I promise!
